2022 Accepted to present at UGI International Geographers Union Centennial Congress. Paper titled: COVID-19 and Spatial Injustice: Implications for tourism policy with Dr B. Paddision, YSJU.

2022 Invited to join the AHRC research network and present at the Royal Geographical Society – Other Everests: Commemoration, Memory and Meaning and the British Everest Expedition Centenaries, 2021-2024.

2022 Presented at Regional Studies Association, Regions in Recovery Second Edition 2022: Reimaging Regions Conference. Paper: Reimagining Policymaking and Community Engagement in the Tourist-Historic City, with Dr P. Paddison, YSJU.

2021 Presented three papers at Royal Geographical Society with IBG International Conference:

1) Gender, affect and sensory politics in adventure tourism: Lessons from the experiences of professional female mountaineers. In a session titled: Everest as a space of Exception, with Dr K., M. Brown, Hutton Institute, Aberdeen.

2) Re-purposing tourism for purpose: Engaging our radical in a Northern English Tourist Town. In a session titled Tourism Geographies of the Future, with Dr B. Paddison, York St John University.

3) Immersive engagements in the digital worlds of static cycling, with Dr P. Barratt, Staffordshire University.

2020 Supported and chaired sessions at Tourism Education Futures Initiative, virtual conference, hosted at YSJU.

Aug 2019, Sponsored by the Geographies of Leisure and Tourism Research Group to run two sessions at the RGS-IBG International Conference: Redesigning the room: Troubling geographies of adventure tourism and Geographies of Inequality and Hope: Towards Sustainable Tourism Futures and to present a paper in this session with Dr B. Paddison, Governance and sustainable engagement: Building equality within public and private tourism spaces. Also chaired the Tourism Geographies session and the Geographies of Leisure and Tourism Research Group Annual General Meeting.
